It's been a year since this rare individual left this world.

It's a year and everyone still misses him.
Everyone still has memories of him which we never want to let go of or forget about.

Kunle Olaifa is not a man to be forgotten.
He was a good man, a professional, a mentor, an inspirational leader and a friend of many.

Words cannot describe how wonderful this man was when he was alive. You only need to have met him at least once to understand why a lot of people are still sad by the loss of this great man.

Over the last week, I have read different people share their experience with this man, everyone had a great story to tell and remind us what a rare gem we have lost.

This is a post by one of his best friends ,We even lost Superman – Tribute to ‘Kunle Olaifa 1980 – 2014 and  A tribute video The House Of The King That Got Burnt….

On the anniversary of his death, August 19, 2015, a Mini career fair was organized to honor his memory by Career Solutions Africa.

Photography is getting more serious of me.
Even though I am still learning and I am still yet to figure out which aspect of photography to specialize in.
Time will tell I guess.

Dusting cobwebs
I didn't realize that I would one day have to start dusting cobwebs on this blog.
I used to "yimu" at bloggers who do this.

Years back, two friends once told me that a time will come in my life when checking out not to talk of been active on social media will be the last thing on my mind. I "yimued" when they said this.

Alas, today this is the story of my life.
No time rara.

I knew I was going to have a busy year
But I didn't expect it to eat up all of my life.
This was my life for the last 4 months
My work life is exhausting, that is particularly what it eating up all of my time.
Right now I am working.
I need to find a balance.

I don't have time even to study, I wrote my first semester examination in the last week of July and I must say I wasn't even prepared for it.

Even though I was on leave, I was practically working every day.
The crazy thing is that my exam came up the same week I was assigned to manage a project.
Yeye Unilag people too are to blame for releasing the exam date so late, that there was no way I could avoid not working while on leave.

The professional exam I wrote this year was also affected, by this lack of time to study.
I have decided no more professional exams this year till I find a balance.

I shall find a balance soon and hope to continue blogging and particularly travel as much as I want.
I am canceling the trip I had planned for the Ramadan break, friends are pulling out and I am too scattered to even draw up a proper plan.

On another note, I am taking this expensive hobby of mine seriously.
I got a new lens and I am hoping to get another one.
Friends are advising I go professional, but not sure I am ready for that.

I am not yet photography smart and to be honest, I don't think I can handle the tantrums thrown by humans. I assisted a friend at a wedding once and I gave up at some point. The couple was just on another level.

Photography, for now, will remain a hobby till further notice.
Maybe someday I will change my mind.

On the 21st of May, I joined a group of photographers on a photo walk to Badagry in March.
It was a wonderful experience hanging out professional photographers and hobbyist like myself.

Our first stop was the Badagry Heritage museum which was the first administrative office in Nigeria constructed in 1863 was used as the office of the District Officer from 1865.

So it was a day of food, dance and laughter with friends.
Sometimes I forget how awesome by closest friends are.

I am not one for birthday parties, so wasn't looking forward to one.
I just wanted to spend time with my friends and just eat food all day.
Well that was all we did, except for the 2 hours we spent at Lekki Leisure Lake enjoying the fresh air as we were already filled with food by the time we left the house.



As there was no Coke and Fanta to decorate the table, my awesome friends made me shine teeth to this.

Thank you all for the wishes, grateful for it all.

Welcome
So happy you are finally here.
I've been waiting on you for some time now.
Ever since I turned 25 I must say.
I felt you over my shoulder this last few months.
I saw your shadow in front of me with each decision and every step I made.

Since the first of January 2015, everyone has always reminded me that you were coming.
I should get married someone of them said.
What are you doing still single, some asked.
What is the next step for you?, I heard.
The pressure has been insanely crazy, but I have been "unlooking".
I shall not be pressured to do that which I am not ready for.

My 20′s have been great
My 20's was about learning who I am, finding my voice and learning how to use it.
The past decade was about me, and I am ready for this next one to be about much more.

Dear 30,
You are my milestone year.

I want you to be about finding love and building my own family.
I am ready for this turning of a page and fully embracing the next chapter of life.
I think we will be good for each other, you and I.
I see us accomplishing a lot together
I see us embarking on a lots of adventures together and evolving together.

My spirit welcomes you.
I am humbled at the wisdom that comes with you.
I do not know what lies on the road ahead of me, but I will embrace it all.
