Dry

Dry
So when you quenched your thirst today
To where did your mind go and stray
When you fed your hunger this day
...
To where your mind wandered away
And as your ears unclogged again
In that country did you remain

I hope you stayed in those dried lands
And still could see the needy hands
Where drying eyes afford no tears
Where crying is but no one hears
And as your ears unclogged again
In that country did you remain

Where swollen bellies have no feed
Where mothers have no milk to breed
Where skins and bones are crying too
Before another day goes through
Before your ears are clogged again
In that country did you remain
