Maybe in 2016,
I will be a better friend
I will stop being a selfish bitch and actually care about those in my life who love me wholeheartedly.

Maybe next year,
I will pick up the phone and remember to call my father.
I won't hide under the guise of work and tell everyone that I am busy.

Maybe in the new year,
I will stop hiding in my comfort zone
And take those risks which would set me in the right direction,

Maybe next year,
I shall find that which I so desire.

Maybe next year,
In 2016, the world will be a better place.
The killings will stop and the world will be a better place.

May just like Asa's lyrics
Maybe the sun will rise
Maybe the stars will shine.

  1. A poignant and wonderful piece. Maybe, just maybe...

  2. That is a very nice poem ingrained with hints of your wishes or resolutions for next year. May all of it come true and may you live up to these ideals.

  3. Blessings......
    hmmmmm.....potent....hits some deep points
This ode of intention requires only one thing...
drop the MAYBE and simply do

  4. Blessings and happy new year.
All the best to you and yours.

May you have more triumphs than trials
    More joy than sorrow
    More support than judgement
    More Inspiration than discouragement
More resources and access than obstacles
and may you know through it all
That you are blessed and a blessing (by D.S.B.S.Rhapsody)
